Intro to Katonah
Welcome to Katonah 101 for anyone new to this style of yoga. In this collection you will get to understand the basics of Katonah Yoga and explore Taoist theory, geometry, metaphor, pranayama, and use of your imagination. Nevine Michaan developed Katonah Yoga over 40 years ago after studying comparative religion and different yoga lineages, and it is the material that the SKY TING style is built upon. It's a practical method of movement that will open new doors for you by making new connections and identifying patterns you haven't seen before. In general, this practice helps you take responsibility for your personal wellbeing and give you tools to handle life more gracefully off the mat. If your mind is exploding at first, you're probably doing it right!
