Restorative Yoga Sound Bath: Releasing Grief

Try SKY TING TV

Description

Autumn is the season of the metal element in Chinese medicine. It is a time when we can feel more vulnerable to the emotions of grief and loss.  At the same time, Metal season is also about deep appreciation and beauty, about how we can remember what is most essential to us.  From the comfort of your own home, join Dr. Abby Paloma, DACM and sound artist Jessica Caplan for a 75-minute seasonal tune up.  Share a practice inspired by the wisdom of Autumn, through acupressure, movement, breath, rest and healing sound. This workshop offers you the time and space to access deep levels of relaxation through the modalities of Restorative Yoga and Sound. To get grounded in the body, the session opens with a short movement sequence accessible to all levels. Then Abby guides a sequence of acupressure points and restorative poses intended to nourish and attune our bodies to the Metal element. While resting in the supported postures, Jessica Caplan creates a soundscape with voice, crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, tuning forks and other drone instruments.   *headphones or speakers are highly recommended for your enjoyment of the sound experience
