Winter Vitality & Immunity: Restorative Yoga Sound Bath



Winter is the season of the water element in Chinese medicine. It is time where we learn how to see in the dark, to sit very still and discover a deep sense of vitality and wisdom. What does it take to be healthy in body and spirit in the dead of winter? How do we build immunity and reconnect to our pilot light of vitality?
From the comfort of your own home, join Dr. Abby Paloma, DACM and sound artist Jessica Caplan for a 75-minute seasonal tune up.  Share a practice inspired by the wisdom of Winter, through acupressure, movement, breath, rest and healing sound. This workshop offers you the time and space to access deep levels of relaxation through the modalities of Restorative Yoga and Sound. To get grounded in the body, the session opens with a short movement sequence accessible to all levels. Then Abby guides a sequence of acupressure points and restorative poses intended to nourish and attune our bodies to the Water element. While resting in the supported postures, Jessica Caplan creates a soundscape with voice, crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, tuning forks and other drone instruments.
