Andrea is originally from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. She grew up outdoors, at the beach, and connected to nature. As a volleyball player and swimmer, being active has always been an important part of her life. After moving to New York City she became hooked on the physical challenge of yoga -- enjoying sweaty vinyasa and challenging asanas. Eventually she followed the physical thread to the more subtle benefits of yoga, and after taking a 200-hour teacher training she hasn’t looked back.
Andrea teaches yoga and meditation to help people develop habits around movement and introspection that facilitate transformation. She believes that yoga is powerful because it has something for everyone, and no matter what it will always do its job. She weaves themes of liberation, abolition, and healing into classes that interesting, thought provoking and balancing.
